Bronislaw Zajkowski

Bronislaw Zajkowski, of Harrison, NJ, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Saint Michael’s Medical Center, Newark, surrounded by his children.  He was 91 years old.  

The funeral will be conducted from the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Avenue Harrison, NJ 07029 on Wednesday April 3, 2019 at 10:15 am. A funeral mass will be offered at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Harrison on Wednesday April 3rd at 11am.  Friends and relatives may visit on Tuesday from 3pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm and Wednesday morning after 9:30am.  His Interment will be held at The Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

Born in Targonie-Wity, Poland, he immigrated to the United States with his wife and children in 1960 to Harrison and has lived there ever since. He proudly became a naturalized American Citizen in 1970.

He worked at General Motors in Linden, NJ where he was a member of UAW Local #595, and retired in 1993. He was a devout parishioner of Our Lady Czestochowa Church in Harrison where he especially enjoyed the church's picnics and festivals.

He took pride in carpentry, renovating and maintaining his homes, as well as his garden and lawn. Many of his neighbors on Hamilton Street enjoyed his bountiful tomato harvest each year.

He is survived by his beloved wife Jozefa, (married 68 years), loving children John Zajkowski (Rosa), Joseph Zajkowski (Elaine), Alice Andors (Louis) and Stanley Zajkowski (Suzanne). He was "Dziadziu" to his 6 grandchildren Andrew Zajkowski, Stephanie Ben M'Hidi, James Andors, Kristofer Zajkowski, Logan Andors and Katie Zajkowski and 4 great-grandchildren Jason Ben M'Hidi, and Tommy, Jackson and Maisy Andors.

He was predeceased by his siblings Sigmund Zajkowski, Helen Babula and Alexander Zajkowski.
