Carmen R. Ramos (nee Huaman) of East Newark, NJ entered into eternal rest at Complete Care at Ridge in West Orange, on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. She was 73 years old.
The Funeral will be conducted from the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Avenue Harrison, NJ 07029 on Friday, January 17th at 9:45am. A funeral mass will follow at St. Anthony’s Church, East Newark at 10:30am. Friends and relatives may visit on Thursday from 6pm to 9pm. Her cremation will be private.

Born in Lima, Peru Carmen lived in San Juan de Miraflores before she came to the United States in November of 1986 and settled in East Newark, NJ.
Carmen was a stay at home mom. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church in East Newark an Active Member of the East Newark Senior Citizens. Carmen made Dean’s list at Essex County Community College while studying to get her Degree in Social Work.
She is survived by her children, Carmen Mattos (Robertluis Benitez), Jessica Diaz (Bill Faria) and her grandchildren Melanie R. and Alberto Mattos and Leanna R. and Isabella R. Diaz. She is also survived by her siblings Alejandrina Pemberthy, Jorge Huaman, Manuel Huaman and Luis Huaman also many nieces, nephews and sisters in laws. Carmen was predeceased by her parents Antonio and Rosa Huaman and her siblings Antonio, Pedro Cesar and Maria Huaman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Alzheimer’s Association in care of the funeral home, in loving memory of Carmen.
