Cheryl Greenemeier, 71 of North Arlington, New Jersey passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after spending her final days exactly where she was happiest, making cherished memories with those she loved most at the Jersey Shore.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 10th at 11:00am at Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington. Her entombment will follow in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington, NJ. Friends and relatives of Cheryl and her family are invited to attend her visitation on Thursday, July 9th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

Born on October 8, 1954, to Stanley and Virginia Paulkawitz, Cheryl was raised in Harrison, New Jersey where she developed the values of faith, family and kindness that guided her throughout her life.

Cheryl dedicated many years as a Medical Assistant to Dr. Stanley J. Siwek, where she was known for her compassion, professionalism and genuine care for her patients.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Henry Ronald Greenemeier of 54 years and their children: Ronald Michael Greenemeier (Jennifer), Tracey Lynne Halas (Thomas) and Kara Anne Serpico (Nicholas). Her grandchildren, Eric (Mary), Cameron (Steven), Emily, Alexandra, Aiden, Mason and Jaxon were the light of her life! She also adored her great-grandson William Henry and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his baby brother.

She is also survived by her two sisters, Bernadette McCauley and Lisa Aquino (Michael), who she loved endlessly as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Cheryl found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved attending mass at Queen of Peace, lighting her candles every Tuesday, attending her book club meetings, watching General Hospital and most of all sitting on her porch down the shore while drinking her morning coffee, indulging in a hot fudge sundae, eating Jelly Rings, Hershey Dark chocolate bars or Good & Plenty candy!

Above all, Cheryl loved her family. She celebrated every milestone, treasured every gathering and made each person feel deeply loved. Her greatest happiness came from being together and creating memories that will be cherished for generations.

Cheryl will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in loving memory of Cheryl.
