Edwin G. Marshman, Sr.

Edwin G. Marshman, Sr of Kearny, New Jersey entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack.   He was 93 years old. 

The funeral will be conducted from the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Ave. Harrison, NJ 07029 on Monday March 15th at 10am. Friends and relatives may visit on Sunday March 14th, from 2pm to 5pm and Monday after 9am.  Funeral service will be held during viewing hours. His interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Born in Newark, and raised in Kearny, Edwin was a lifelong resident of Harrison.  He worked as an Accountant for Melco in Ridgefield Park for many years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 282, Harrison, where he served as Commander Emeritus, Past Hudson County Commander, also past Commander of VFW Post 340 of Harrison. Edwin was awarded Hudson County Veteran of the Year in 2010 and Harrison Veteran of the Year in 2016. He served his Country in the US Army in the Korean War from 1950 thru 1957. Edwin loved his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Bernice Marshman (nee McGilly) in 1997. Edwin is survived by his loving children, Edwin Jr., Robert (Veronica), Scott (John Vega-Marshman), his cherished grandchildren, James (Melissa), Robert, and Aiden Vega-Marshman and great grandchildren, Mia Cruz Marshman and Josh Cruz, also survived by many nieces and nephews.                        

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Wounded Warrior Foundation, in care of the funeral home in loving memory of Edwin.
