Genaro Martinez

Genaro Martinez, of Newark, Entered into eternal rest at home on Saturday, December 18th 2021.  He was 82 years old.

A Funeral service will be held at Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Avenue, Harrison, NJ 07029 on Thursday, December 23th at 11am.  His Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  Friends and relatives may visit on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021 from 4 to 8pm, and Thursday after 10am.

Born and raised in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, Genaro emigrated to the United States of America when he was 17 years old, and settled in Newark.   He owned Martinez Grocery Store in Newark, prior he owned a Tire Shop on Ferry Street in the Ironbound Section of Newark.

Genaro is survived by his Daughters, Olga Perez and Maria Rosario, grandchildren, Stephanie, Alex, Kimberly, Clarissa, Genaro and Oswald, and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Ricky and Anibal Martinez.
