Gloria (Gallo) Maffia

Mary “Gloria” Maffia (nee Gallo), of Harrison, NJ peacefully passed away on July 12, 2021.  She was 86 years old.

The funeral will be conducted from the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Avenue, Harrison, NJ 07029 on Friday, July 16 at 9:15 am.  A Funeral Mass will follow at Holy Cross Church, Harrison at 10am.  Her Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Friends and relatives may visit on Thursday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm and Friday morning after 8:45 am.

Born in Harrison, Gloria was a lifelong resident.   She worked as an Actuarial Clerk for Mutual Benefit Life, Newark for many years.    She was a Trustee of Holy Cross Church, Harrison as well as being a member of the Church’s Rosary Altar Society.

Predeceased by her husband, Carmine J.  “Carl” Maffia, Gloria is survived by her beloved daughters, Donna Casale and her husband Joseph of Manchester, NH and Elaine Clauer of Lakewood, NJ, her loving grandchildren, Gabrielle Clauer, Nicholas Casale and his wife Heather and Michael Casale, cherished great grandchildren, Brayden, Cora and Colt, a beloved sister, Edith Fitzsimmons and her dear friend, Jane Mahr.   She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Holy Cross Church Food Pantry, in care of the funeral home in loving memory of Gloria.
