Joan (Hartman) Ostrowski

Joan A. Ostrowski (nee Hartman) of Harrison, NJ passes away at home on Friday, November 15, 2019. She was 80 years old.         

Funeral services are under the direction of the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Avenue Harrison, NJ 07029. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 5:30 pm.  Friends and relatives may visit on Wednesday from 2 pm to 6 pm.

Born in Jersey City, Joan was a lifelong resident of Harrison who worked at the Harrison Public Library for many years. Prior to her tenure at the library, she was an office manager at Merit Distribution, South Kearny.

Joan was a member of the VFW Post 340 Ladies Auxiliary, Harrison, She was an avid crafter who also enjoyed shopping. 

Predeceased by her husband, Joseph B. Ostrowski (1988). She was the devoted mother of Joseph Ostrowski (Debbie) and Judy Pastuzyn (Chris); Cherished grandmother of Morgan Moore (Steve) Garrett (Sabrina) and Elizabeth Ostrowski; and, dear sister of Joyce Patterson (Danny), William Hartman Jr. (Jane) and Carol Liotti (Gary).  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her parents, William and Lorena Hartman and a brother, Robert Hartman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Heart Association or the ASPCA in care of the funeral home, in loving memory of Joan.
