Joseph "Joe" Lombardo

Joseph “Joe” Lombardo Sr. entered into eternal rest at Clara Mass Hospital in Belleville, NJ on April 20th, 2020.  He was 73 years old.

Private funeral services will be conducted from the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Ave. Harrison, NJ 07029.

Born and raised in Harrison, NJ, his family moved to Kearny, and lived there for 30 years, and for the last 9 years he was living in North Arlington.  Joe worked for Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission as an operations manager for 40 years, retiring in 2011. 

Joe was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church, in East Newark.  He graduated from Lincoln Technical School, Newark.  He enjoyed working on his cars, especially the 1965 Pontiac GTO that he lovingly named, “The Goat”.   Joe enjoyed classic music from the 60’s and could listen to that music all day with his wife.  

Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Jean (nee Henry) Lombardo, caring children, Joseph Jr. and Denise Lombardo, and precious grandchildren Bobby “Punker” Lombardo, Desire, Felicity, Issiyah and a great grandchild Vincent James Lombardo.  He is also survived by his siblings Mary & Dennis Calpin and also many nieces and nephews.  Joe was predeceased by his parents Frank and Grace Lombardo, as well as his sister, Antoinette Madden.
