Manuel Barrantes Obituary

Manuel Alejandro Barrantes Balzar of Harrison, NJ entered into eternal rest on Wednesday May 20, 2020 at Clara Mass Hospital in Belleville. He was 58 years old.

 

Private funeral services are under the direction of Mulligan Funeral Home 331 Cleveland Ave. Harrison, NJ 07029. His interment will take place at Arlington Cemetery, in Kearny.

 

Born and raised in Callao, Peru he lived in Buenos Aires, before immigrating to the United States in 1987. He eventually settled in Harrison in 1996 prior to living in Newark. He worked as a Mail Sorter for Cargo Force in South Kearny, and as a Machinist and Mechanic for Osborne Inc. Newark concurrently. Manuel was a member Barra Popular Juventu Rosada USA “ Vamos Boys TLV”.

 

He is survived by his wife, Flora Pozzoli of 25 years and their children, Michael (Sophia) Barrantes, Sandro Barrantes, Cindy (Nestor) Bernui and Victor Bravo, nine grandchildren, and siblings, Maria, Teresa, Yola, Elena and Nestor. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Manuel was predeceased by his uncles, Victor and Hugo Balzar.
