Manuel "Manny" H. Hernandez

Manuel Hernandez of Kearny, NJ entered into eternal rest at home peacefully on Tuesday June 01, 2021. He was 46 years old.

A funeral Service will be held at the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Avenue, Harrison NJ 07029, during viewing hours. Friends and relatives may visit Wednesday, June 9th from 6pm to 9pm. His cremation will be private.

Predeceased by his mother Maria Hernandez and Father Manuel Olavarria (February, 2020) Manny is survived by his siblings Jensy Molina, Darlene Mercado, Alvin A. Hernandez, Zelmira Collado, Luis and David Olavarria, Daniel, Robert and Eric Molina, his grandmother Valentina Rodriguez and his God Daughter Juliet Hernandez. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grandnephews, aunts and an uncle and his Godparents Providencia and Eduardo Moya.

Born in South Bronx, NY, he moved to Kearny, NJ in 2006. He worked as a Machinist for many years and prior to that he was a Finisher Technician in New York City. Manuel was known by “Gator” to his friends “Furbio” to his Mother and “Manny” to his brothers and sisters. He was a member of Centro Romeu Cascaes Portuguese American Community Center, Harrison and The Watson Family, Bronx, NY.

Manny loved to read, listen to old school Salsa, watching sports, cooking, and building things and absolutely loved spending time with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the funeral home to help defray Manny’s funeral expenses, in care of the funeral home in loving memory of Manny.
