Maria M. Hernandez

Maria M. Hernandez of Kearny, NJ entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday, February 02, 2020.  She was 65 years old.   

A Memorial Service will be held at the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Avenue, Harrison NJ 07029.    A Memorial Gathering will be held Friday, February 7th from 5 to 9pm with a Memorial Service being held during the Gathering hours.

Born and raised in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Maria moved to New York in her teenage years.  She lived in the Bronx, NY before moving to Kearny, NJ in 1998.   She worked as an Electrical Tester at L&R Manufacturing, Kearny, NJ for 19 years.  

She loved listening and dancing to Salsa, loved shopping and was dedicated to her work.

She is survived by her children Jensy Molina (Milagros), Darlene Mercado (Ivan), Manuel Hernandez, Alvin Hernandez (KaSandra), Zelmira Collado (Nicholas), and her grandchildren Jonathan, Sierra, Justin, ChaiSandra, Jalene, Juliet, Styles, and Layla. She is also survived by her siblings Heriberto, Providencia, Margarita, Yolanda, and Mayra as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Maria was predeceased by her mother Valentina Rodriguez.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home in loving memory of Maria.
