Michael Eugene Harris

Michael Eugene Harris of Newark, NJ, formerly of Queens, NY, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday March 19, 2023. He was 64 years old.   

A funeral service will be held at Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Avenue Harrison, NJ 07029 on Wednesday March 29, 2023, at 1pm.  Relatives and friends may visit on Wednesday, from Noon to 1pm. The funeral service will be held at 1pm in the funeral home. His cremation will be private.

Born in Queens and raised in Queens and Brooklyn, NY, Michael worked as a Senior TV Analyst at ASCAP in NYC. Prior to that, Michael worked at Warner- Elektra-Atlantic (WEA) in Queens, NY and at WLN Records Previously to that. Michael attended LaGuardia College in Queens, NY where he obtained an associate degree.

Michael was an avid music lover and as you can see his career path reflected that love of music. He was an accomplished self-taught piano and guitar player who wrote music and poetry.  He never hesitated to travel near and far to see some of his favorite singer's, performers and sports teams.

Michael is survived by his beloved siblings Karen, Wayne and Gilbert, along with his nieces Naya, Nyzae, and Nyla, his nephew Zane, along with his cousin Tracey Coleman.

He was predeceased by his mother Nancy Harris in 1996, and his Uncle Alfred Coleman.
