Michael J. Olender

Michael Joseph Olender, of Newton, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2023. He was 49 years old.

Private funeral services are under the direction of Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Avenue Harrison, NJ 07029.

Born in Passaic, Michael grew up in Harrison, in late1980 he moved to Ocala, Florida and opened a business with his father.   Eventually he settled in Newton, NJ in 2006.   He most enjoyed being an Artist and because he was so talented, he once was commissioned to paint a Mural in the off Broadway Theater district of Manhattan.   While in Florida, he co-owned OMCI in Ocala, Florida where he worked as a Machinist, with his father and stepmother.

Michael on is free time enjoyed fishing, nature, photography, playing music, NYC and art, he was an avid fan of the NY Mets 

He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Olender in 2006. Michael is survived by his siblings, Joanne and Adam, his father Henry and wife Lisa Olender, a niece and nephews, Joshua, Joey and Chloe. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Salvation Army 28 Beech Street, Kearny, New Jersey 07032 in loving memory of Michael.
