Michael Vacca

Michael Vacca, of Harrison, formerly of Kearny, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 15, 2025. He was 59 years old.

Friends and relatives of Michael and his family are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 at the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Avenue, Harrison, NJ 07029. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home during the visitation hours.  His final disposition will be held privately.

Born in Newark and raised in Kearny, Michael lived in Harrison for the past 30 + years. He worked as a Warehouse Supervisor for Arizona Iced Tea in Maplewood for 22 years. Prior to that he worked as a Machinist for Wayne Steel, Elizabeth, New Jersey for 17 years.

Michael was an avid music lover and sports fan, He attended many concerts and sports events with his lifelong best friend John “Jack
“Thompson., Michael had the heart and soul of a Professional musician and everyone else could hear and feel it with the way he played the guitar, the drums and his singing , He truly blessed everyone with all of his talents, the many bands he played in and just sharing his natural abilities whenever he could. Michael enjoyed quality time with his loved ones and never missed an opportunity to let out his unmistakable laugh.

Michael is survived by his stepfather, Thomas Payne, Sr., siblings, Marion Payne, Lori Vacca, Thomas Payne, Jr., Roxanne D’Amico Ferriero and Vincent D’Amico, cousins Laurie Francis Valente and Nicholus, and Gavin Valente as well as Cherished nieces and nephews, Matt, Allie  and his Goddaughter, Cassie Thompson and cousins Linda Nagy, Dominick, Vincent and Nicholas Vacca, and Susan Hutchins.

He was predeceased by his Father, James Vincent Vacca Jr, his mother, Johanna Lourenco Payne and his brothers, Jame and Thomas "Tucker" Vacca and Benny D’Amico.
