Norma Roberts Bryant, also known as Norma Milanes, of West Orange entered eternal rest peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. She was surrounded by her children, and close family. She was 91 years old.
Friends and relatives of Norma and her family may visit Mount Pleasant Baptist Church 27 Lincoln Avenue Newark, NJ 07104 on Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and Monday morning after 9:00am. Her funeral service will be held at the Church on Monday, September 22 at 10:00am. Her interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Mulligan Funeral Home, located at 331 Cleveland Avenue Harrison, NJ 07029 is in charge of her funeral arrangements.

Norma, the fourth child of Adelina Bryant and Phillip Nathaniel Roberts, was born and raised in Cespedes, Camaguey, Cuba. Her childhood was not easy but it was filled with laughter, and love. The center of their household was their strong fatih and commitment to their Lord. Ever the inquisitive child and always seeking knowledge, after finishing her High School studies, she gained entrance into the prestigious Escuela Superior de Artes y Oficios “Fernando Aguado y Rico”, Habana, Cuba. After 3 years she successfully obtained her degree of Master Degree in Industrial Chemistry. She was very proud of this accomplishment and to anyone who asked her, she would provide a detailed account of what her job as an industrial chemist entailed. After graduation she returned to her small town and began working at Central Azucarero de Cespedes as their principal chemist. She would proudly tell everyone who her, that her job was to ensure the quality of the sugar product. And she was the best at it! She enjoyed her job, but at the height of her career, she decided to join her brothers and sisters at the Academia Roberts. This premier educational academy that offered a complete educational curriculum from Pre-K to Junior High School.
