Born in Jersey City, Pat was a lifelong resident of Harrison. He recently worked and partnered with His brother Eddie for BDT Home Improvements out of Kearny and prior to that, he worked for his family’s construction business, Cowley Construction, out of Staten Island for many years.  Pee Wee was a member of the Harrison/East Newark Elks B.P.O.E. 2326.  He had a passion for BBQ’s and hosting parties, volunteering as a coach out of the Harrison Recreation Center, playing softball, bowling, darts, watching and betting the horse races at the meadowland’s racetrack, as well as his love for trips to the casino with his wife and kids, where you always found him sitting at the roulette table playing the center. You could catch him with a Budweiser in hand singing his heart out during karaoke or simply taking his walks around town, talking to everyone and anyone… that would talk back, he had the gift to gab.  He was a diehard NY Yankees and NY Giants fan.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen, loving children Shawn and his wife Nicole, Lisa, Mark, Jonathan and his wife Kristen, Michelle and her wife Angee, Richard Erdman Jr, and Ashley Erdman; Grandchildren, Andrew, Jayden, Tyler, Michael, Shaelynn, Kylie, and an expected granddaughter on the way, Great Grandchild Julian; Fur baby, Danny and Grand-Fur children Snowball, Bailey, Gunner, SadieMae, and Ammo. Dear siblings, Robert, Gary, Carol Sheridan, George and Edward "Shitter" Cowley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Danielle and her husband Richard Erdman Sr, a sister, Joann Villaronga, a brother, Michael and his parents, Robert and Agnes (nee Ritchie) Cowley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to American Heart Association or St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of the funeral home, in loving memory of Pee Wee.
