Rui Ferreira DaSilva of Harrison, NJ entered into eternal rest peacefully on Tuesday, July 26th, 2022. He was 71 years old.   

The funeral will be conducted from the Mulligan Funeral Home 331 Cleveland Avenue, Harrison, NJ 07029  on Saturday July 30, 2022. A funeral mass will be offered at Holy Cross Church in Portuguese at 10am. Friends and relatives may visit on Friday, from 4 to 8pm and Saturday morning. His entombment will follow in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Sunday, August 7th, 2022 at Holy Cross Church, Harrison at 9am.

Born and rasied in Branca, Aveiro, Portugal Rui lived in Manhattan, NY for some time before settling in Harrison in 1994. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling with his wife Gracinda. He loved to go to his hometown in Portugal and spend time with his family. Rui loved his granddaughters. He loved soccer, his favorite team was Sporting. He was hard worker as he worked his entire life to give the best to his wife Gracinda and his son Rui. He was a fun person who made everyone laugh!! He loved Facebook to be connected with his relatives and friends.

Rui survived by his loving wife Gracinda Silva, beloved son Rui Silva and his wife Manuela, cherished granddaughters Sofia and Raquel, and dear siblings as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or St. Jude Children’s Research hospital, in care of the funeral home in loving memory of Rui.

O funeral será realizado na Mulligan Funeral Home 331 Cleveland Avenue, Harrison, NJ 07029 às 9h15 de sábado, 30 de julho de 2022. Uma missa fúnebre será oferecida na Igreja Holy Cross às 10h, em português. Amigos e parentes podem visitar na sexta-feira, das 16h às 20h e no sábado de manhã, após as 8h45. Seu sepultamento acontecerá no Mausoléu da Capela Holy Cross, em North Arlington.

Nascido e criado em Branca, Aveiro, Portugal. Rui viveu algum tempo em Manhattan, NY antes de se estabelecer em Harrison em 1994. Nos tempos livres gostava de viajar com a sua esposa Gracinda. Ele adorava ir para sua cidade natal em Portugal e passar tempo com sua família. O Rui adorava as netas. Ele adorava futebol, sua equipa favorita era o Sporting. Foi trabalhador, pois trabalhou a vida inteira para dar o melhor à esposa Gracinda e ao filho Rui. Ele era uma pessoa divertida que fazia todo mundo rir!! Ele adorava o Facebook para estar conectado com seus parentes e amigos.

A Rui sobreviveu a sua amada esposa Gracinda Silva, o amado filho Rui Silva e a sua esposa Manuela, as queridas netas Sofia e Raquel, e queridos irmãos, bem como vários sobrinhos e sobrinhas.
