Vincent L. Franco, a lifelong resident of Harrison, NJ entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026. He was 88 years old.
The funeral will be conducted from the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Avenue Harrison, NJ 07029 on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 9:15 am. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church, Harrison at 10:00 am. His Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Friends and relatives of Vincent and his family are invited to attend his visitation on Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm and Monday morning after 8:45am.

Born in Newark and raised in Harrison, Vincent dedicated his life to education and to the students of his community. He began his career as a History School Teacher in the Harrison School District, where he went on to serve as Principal of Washington Middle School. Vincent also served as a Curriculum Coordinator, worked for the Harrison Adult ESL Night School, and was an active member of the Harrison Board of Education. In the past, he was also a proud member of The Optimist Club of Harrison and the New Jersey Education Association.
He earned his Undergraduate Degree and Masters of Education Degree from Montclair State Teachers College in Upper Montclair, NJ. In addition, he was a professional accordion player and teacher for 35 years, and was best known for his humor, joke telling and words of wisdom. He had an appreciation for his ‘home away from home’, Point Pleasant Beach, and he took pride as Winemaker of the ‘Franco wine’.
Predeceased by his wife, Josephine (2000) Vincent is survived by his loving son, Lance and his wife, Ana, his cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Lucas, Chase, Bella Franco and Amy Reynolds, his dear nephews, Richard (Elizabeth), Michael(Kathie) and Kevin (Natalya) Sullivan. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.
Vincent was predeceased by his sister Theresa Sullivan and hisparents, Michael and Grace Franco.
